  • Burritos: The menu is highlighted by the famed burritos, most notably the steak burrito—rumored to be legendary. It boasts juicy, perfectly seasoned meat, packed with flavor and void of any unnecessary fillers like rice. For a vegetarian option, the veggie burrito does not disappoint.
  • Tacos: Another star of the show includes their tantalizing tacos, praised for their well-marinated meats and fresh toppings. Whether you choose carne asada or a crispy chicken option, each bite reflects the culinary care taken in preparation.
  • Aguas Frescas: Brighten your meal with a refreshing cup of aguas frescas. Options range from sweet strawberry to zesty tangerine, each priced at a mere $4.25. The mango variety is especially popular among patrons.
  • Beers: For those looking to enjoy a drink with their meal, La Taqueria offers an array of beers, including the local favorites Pacifico and Corona, also at a fantastic price of $4.25 each.

But the experience at La Taqueria transcends mere sustenance; it’s about celebrating the rich culture and the community. The cheerful mariachi band adds a festive touch, enhancing the vibrant mood. Customer reviews sing praises ranging from "Amazing" to "Well worth the wait," reinforcing the idea that La Taqueria is not just a meal but a cultural event.

5/5 – Legendary Mission Burrito, Worth the Wait La Taqueria has earned its reputation for having one of the best Mission-style burritos, and after trying the steak burrito, I can confirm—it’s amazing. The Food: 5/5 The steak burrito was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and wrapped up without any unnecessary fillers like rice. Every bite was balanced, juicy, and just right. The Service: 3/5 Expect a long wait, especially during peak hours, but once you order, they get your food out quickly. The Atmosphere: 3/5 It’s a classic no-frills taqueria—nothing fancy, but it adds to the charm. Seating can be limited, so be prepared. The Wait: 3/5 Lines can be very long, so plan ahead. But honestly, it’s worth every minute. The Verdict: A Must-Visit for Burrito Lovers Legendary Mission burrito—no rice, just quality ingredients Steak is juicy and flavorful Efficient service once you get to the front Long wait, especially at peak times Limited seating Would I come back? 100%—this place is iconic for a reason!

La Taqueria in SF was packed when I visited, with a long line that showed just how popular it is. I had a super burrito and veggie tacos—both were full of flavor and lived up to the hype. Despite the wait, they managed seating well and kept it moving.

This place is delicious! It was very busy but our food came out quickly, and exactly how we ordered it. The seating was a little bit limited because of how many people were there but we found a seat right away and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I had carne asada tacos with cilantro and beans and my friend had the vegetarian burrito. Whenever we visit the city we will definitely be back to this taqueria.
